1. What products do you offer?
At Tom's Lights Events, we provide a wide range of entertainment products, including Bouncy Castles, Rodeo Bulls, Ball Pools, LED Furniture, Carnival & Funfair Games, Fun Foods, and much more. Whether you’re planning a children’s party, a corporate event, or a community fun day, we have everything you need to make your event a success.

2. Where do you operate?
We are based in Birmingham and cover the entire West Midlands region, including Dudley, Solihull, Digbeth, Walsall, and Sutton Coldfield. If you’re unsure whether we deliver to your area, feel free to contact us, and we’ll be happy to assist.

3. How should I prepare the site for a bouncy castle?
To ensure the bouncy castle can be safely installed, please provide a flat, open area with enough space around the inflatable. Remove any sharp objects, stones, or debris from the ground. We’ll need access to an electrical supply, or if that’s not possible, you can hire one of our generators to power the inflatable. If you’re unsure about site requirements, don’t hesitate to ask our team when booking.

4. Are your products safety tested?
Yes, all of our inflatables and equipment are safety tested annually in compliance with industry standards. Each product undergoes rigorous testing to ensure it is safe for use at your event. We also clean and inspect everything after each hire to maintain the highest safety standards.

5. Can I see your insurance details?
Yes, we carry public liability insurance, and we’re happy to provide you with details upon request. Simply contact us, and we’ll provide you with the necessary documentation for your peace of mind.

6. Does the rodeo bull come with an operator?
Yes, all of our Rodeo Bulls are supplied with a fully trained operator. The operator ensures the safe use of the rodeo bull and adjusts the difficulty levels based on the age and experience of the riders, so everyone can enjoy the fun safely.

7. Do you offer packages for events?
Yes, we have several package options that bundle together popular items like Bouncy Castles, Soft Play, Ball Pools, and more. These packages are perfect for birthday parties, family fun days, and larger events. Check our website or contact us for details on available packages.

8. Can inflatables be set up indoors?
Yes, many of our inflatables can be set up indoors, provided there is enough ceiling height and space. Our team can advise you on the best options for indoor setups and help you choose the right products for your venue.

9. What happens if the weather is bad?
Safety is our top priority. If bad weather, such as strong winds or heavy rain, poses a safety risk, we may need to postpone or cancel the hire of certain products. We recommend discussing a backup plan with us when booking, especially for outdoor events.

10. How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking as early as possible, particularly during busy seasons such as summer and school holidays. However, we’re happy to accommodate last-minute bookings where availability allows, so feel free to get in touch even if your event is just around the corner.

11. How long does it take to set up?
Setup times vary depending on the equipment being hired. Typically, bouncy castles take around 30 minutes to set up, while more complex items like Rodeo Bulls may take a little longer. Our team will ensure everything is installed and ready to go well before your event starts.

12. Do you offer exhibition stand entertainment?
Yes, at Tom's Lights Events, we specialise in providing a wide range of exhibition stand entertainment to help you draw in visitors and engage with your audience. We also offer bespoke and custom branded games that can feature your company’s logo or branding, ensuring your booth stands out at exhibitions and trade shows. Whether you're exhibiting at the NEC Birmingham, the ICC Birmingham, or any other venue in the West Midlands, we have the entertainment solutions to make your exhibition a success.

13. What types of events do your products work best for?
We supply equipment for just about any event you can think of - birthday parties, school fetes, corporate team-building days, weddings, community fun days, Christmas markets, summer fairs, exhibitions, youth clubs and more. If you’re planning something that needs a bit of fun or visual impact, we’ve got something for it.

14. Do you only offer bouncy castles and inflatables?
Not at all! While we do have a massive range of bouncy castles and inflatables, that’s only part of what we offer. We also provide soft play, LED furniture, funfair games, interactive arcade machines, generators, catering options like popcorn and candy floss machines, movie screens, and loads more. We’re more of a one-stop shop than a typical bouncy castle hire company.

15. Do you have products for adults as well as children?
Yes - loads! Our Multi Coloured Adult Bouncy Castle, Bungee Run (35ft), Gladiator Duel, and Helter Skelter Inflatable Slide are all very popular with adult guests. We also get great feedback on our Prize Crane Arcade Grabber, Tetris, and LED Curved Bar Hire for grown-up parties, weddings, and corporate events.

16. Can I hire several products together as a package?
Absolutely. Most customers do! We’re happy to help you build a package that suits your event size, age group, venue, and budget. Just let us know what you’re planning, and we’ll guide you through which items go well together - for example, soft play and ball pits for toddler areas, or a full assault course with team games for school fun days.

17. Do you supply soft play and equipment for under-5s?
We do! Our 19 pc Multi Coloured Soft Play set, Large Party Time Ball Pit, and Didi Car Track are all designed with little ones in mind. You can also add Didi Cars (x5) and Didi Trikes for extra fun.

18. Are your inflatables suitable for large public events?
Yes - and we do lots of them! If you’re organising a public event like a town fair, festival or council-run fun day, we can bring along crowd-pleasers like the 65ft Partytime Assault Course 10ft Platform Slide, Giant Inflatable Dartboard (over 5m high!), or the Interactive Penalty Shootout. We also provide generators and speakers to help keep things running smoothly.

19. Do you offer products for indoor venues?
Yes, many of our products are suitable for indoor use. We’ve got inflatables designed for lower ceiling heights like our Low Ceiling Bouncy Castle, and we supply sandbags when we can’t peg things down. Soft play, arcade machines, LED furniture and games like Giant Jenga and Giant Buzz Wire are also perfect for indoor events.

20. Can I hire just one item, or do I need to book a full package?
You can hire as little or as much as you like. If you’re just after a Blue Bouncy Castle for a birthday party or a Slush Machine 2hrs for a garden gathering, no problem — we’re happy to deliver a single item. But we also cater for full-scale events and are always on hand to help build the right bundle for you.

21. Are your products suitable for weddings?
Yes – we’ve got loads of items that work brilliantly for weddings. Our Wedding Bouncy Castle adds a fun twist to the day, and our LED Curved Bar Hire, LED Poser Table Hire, and LED Bean Bag Seat Hire are perfect for chill-out areas or evening receptions. You could even add a Movie Screen for showing memories or messages during the night.

22. What happens if the weather is bad?
If you’ve booked an outdoor inflatable and heavy rain or strong wind is forecast, we’ll talk you through the options — whether it’s a refund, reschedule, or swapping to something suitable for indoors (like soft play or arcade games). Safety always comes first, and we’re really fair about last-minute changes due to weather.

23. Do you set everything up for us?
Yes — every hire includes full setup and takedown by our trained team. We’ll arrive with plenty of time, make sure everything’s safe and clean, and give you a quick walkthrough of how things work (where needed). When your event’s finished, we’ll come back and pack it all away. You don’t need to lift a finger.

24. Do you offer entertainment staff like face painters or balloon modellers?
We do! Our Face Painting, Glitter Tattoos, and Balloon Modelling services are all provided by friendly, professional staff. These are especially popular at children’s parties, fun days and school events – and they can easily be added to any hire package.

25. Do you offer themed setups for events?
Yes – lots of our products fit different themes. Whether you’re going for pastel colours with our Pastel Pink Bouncy Castle and Pastel Blue Bouncy Castle, jungle vibes with the Jungle Bouncy Castle, or a funfair look with Hook A Duck and Roll A Ball, we can help you tie everything together.

26. Can I hire your products for indoor halls or venues?
Definitely. We’ve got options like the Low Ceiling Bouncy Castle and Soft Play sets which are ideal for community halls and indoor spaces. We also provide sandbags for safety when items can’t be pegged down. Just let us know the venue size and we’ll recommend suitable options.

27. How far in advance should I book?
As early as possible! Some weekends, especially in summer, get booked up fast. If you’ve got your date confirmed, it’s best to reserve your items now and secure them with a deposit. That said, if you’ve left it late, get in touch — we’ll always try to help with last-minute availability.

28. Are your products cleaned before every hire?
Yes – absolutely. Cleanliness and safety are a top priority for us. Every item, from bouncy castles to soft play and arcade machines, is thoroughly cleaned and checked after each event. We arrive with everything in great condition, ready to use.

29. Do you carry insurance?
Yes, we have full public liability insurance in place and all our inflatables are regularly tested. We also provide risk assessments when needed – especially for schools, corporate events and council-run activities.

30. Can you help with power supply for outdoor events?
We sure can. If your event is in a park or a field with no nearby electricity, we can supply a Diesel Generator or Petrol Generator as part of your hire. Just let us know during booking and we’ll sort everything out.

31. Do you offer products for Christmas or seasonal events?
Yes – we’ve got a great mix of seasonal fun. For Christmas events, we recommend the Set Of 3 Christmas Carnival Games, Rodeo Reindeer, and maybe even our Candy Floss 2hrs for a festive sweet treat. These are perfect for winter markets, school fairs or staff Christmas parties.

32. What’s the most popular item you offer?
It really depends on the event, but some of our most requested items include the Party Time Bouncy Castle, Disco Bouncy Castle, Partytime 35ft Assault Course 6ft Platform Slide, and Candy Floss 2hrs. Our LED Curved Bar Hire and LED Bean Bag Seat Hire are big favourites for weddings and evening events.

33. Can you help with ideas if I’m not sure what to book?
Definitely. Just get in touch with a few details about your event - where it is, who it’s for, how many people you expect - and we’ll talk you through some ideas. We’ve helped hundreds of clients across Birmingham and the West Midlands plan events that really work.

34. Do you cover my area?
If you’re in Birmingham or anywhere in the West Midlands, then yes - we almost certainly do. That includes Solihull, Sutton Coldfield, Wolverhampton, Walsall, Dudley, Coventry and other nearby towns. Let us know where your venue is and we’ll confirm everything during booking.
